About Tamara
My pursuit towards a sustainable future.
Creativity is an innate part of human nature. How we choose to nurture that creativity is different for everyone. I didn’t truly recognise the value of my artistic ability until I worked for 14 years in the corporate world as an Insurance Underwriter. After leaving the industry, I conceded I needed something more rewarding, challenging and nourishing for my soul that not only stimulated my creative passions but I could also be a part of something greater than myself.
As I embarked on my Diploma of Interior Design I felt like a painter ready to paint new artwork on a blank canvas. When the global pandemic hit, this challenged me to seek a more honest, deeper dive into the path I wanted to take my design ethos by observing the design industry for awhile and what puts the fire in my belly.
I felt like a wide-eyed kid again in a candy store, inhaling, absorbing, learning about the history, the present and future of Interior Design. It became glaringly clear to me that I wanted to be a part of the environmental movement and help minimise our environmental impact and waste within the Design industry.
Upon completion of my Diploma, this alluring journey resulted in the conception of Interior Imprint
There are countless inspirations I draw upon. My muses are Interiors, architecture, art, textiles, hand made goods, pottery, photography, movies, nature walks, and hiking. Not to mention, my home is amongst one of the most unique and diverse landscapes in the world, the Australian flora and fauna.
Using recycled and repurposed materials are a focal point of my sustainable concepts and designs. I see tremendous value in sourcing bespoke products and curating old with the new. It is like the final flourish to a well designed room.
When I walk into a space, I want to soak in its surrounding elements and create a vision of the space. It’s essential the integral architecture remains while enhancing the design to produce maximum results that will best suit your individual or family lifestyle.
On a more personal note, aside from the pandamic rollercoaster, a career change in my 40’s has been no easy feat. It is time to start living with more mindfulness, fun and laughs, less ‘stuff and clutter’, and enjoy this one and only precious life we have as veraciously as I can. I am a single parent of an energetic, and heartwarming young man who constantly inspires me and is a big part of my ‘why’.
As an advocate for mental health, I make it my mission to participate in annual events to promote mental health awareness. Some events are community fitness fundraisers, and others are within my personal tribe. The connections I develop and unwaivering support has nurtured my confidence to understand and be comfortable with who I am today.
As I continue my Bachelor of Commercial Interior Design one thing is certain that knowledge is not finite. I believe sustainability and comfort should be accessible to all and I am inspired by the advancements surrounding regeneration in Interior Design. I want to share my hopes, dreams, challenges and achievements with you along the way of my Interior Design journey.
Ultimately, my vision is about leaving a viable and conscious environmental footprint, big or small, educating and empowering you to live a more sustainable lifestyle. I want to provide design solutions with a more responsible and mindful approach through the use of natural materials and elements that appeal to you and fill your sensory cup.

Koala Adoption
Koalas are a symbol of Australia and these sleepy, branch-hugging marsupials are dependent on trees for food and shelter. But with an average 100,000 trees bulldozed across Australia each day, koalas now face extinction in east coast states by 2050.
They are now at a critical crossroad as they also face threats from deadly disease and climate disasters.
It saddens me to think that one day these beautiful native animals to Australia could become extinct which means our childrens’ children may never have the privilege as I did, of knowing what it was like to physically see, touch or hold this precious furry marsupial.
It is time to put my money where my mouth is, and give back to support our essential conservation work, and adopt one of our endangered animals. If you would like to adopt or pledge a one off donation, click this link WWF Australia site and follow their prompts.
