Embrace natural materials and bring nature into your home
Tamara Gillies - Founder, Brisbane based Interior Designer, Decorator & Stylist Diploma of Interior Design / Undergraduate Student of BA Residential Interior Design at Torrens University.
Hi I’m Tamara,
Lover of interiors, architecture, the arts, Australian flora and fauna, and that first sip of coffee in the morning.
I am not only driven by minimizing our environmental impact and waste within the Design industry, but as a human being and single parent, I am deeply motivated by the interconnected challenges of climate change and humanity. I strive to live a life that is a little slower, more mindful, free from clutter and excess ‘stuff’.
Nature is the most essential part of my aesthetic for an indoor-outdoor connection and sustainable lifestyle which can be integrated into any style you love.
I am passionate about creating healthy design solutions through a holistic approach with purposeful designed and curated spaces while bringing the concept of nature to improve your wellbeing with Biophilic Design.
Services
Designing a home is one thing. Understanding designing a home can be more complex and why it matters to get it right the first time. From concept design down to the design detail in your cabinetry joinery, Interior Imprint will navigate you through the complexities of Interior Design.
The eco-design movement is not ‘new’. What is new are the number of ways in which our houses can be made sustainable from reclaimed, recycled and reconstituted materials, and biomaterials.
Whether you are building new or renovating, your home is a form of self-expression and is saying something about the people who live, and work there. Home should make life easier, enable you to slow down and allow you to simply just ‘be’…

Designing for a low environmental impact means choosing quality over quantity and classics over what’s ‘on current trend’. However, this can be an integration of the two. My goal is to blend sustainability, aesthetics and functionality that reflects your personality and style. The more natural materials and elements, you bring into your space, the more you feel connected to nature and happier.
